hardly knows what to expect and are
preparing themselves for a hard
game, hut are expecting to emerge
victors with pride at its peak and
ambition continually soaring higher

and front victories throughout the
season the Bulldogs are setting their
cap for another feather and are
already counting on sending the
Palm State boys hack deep into the
swamps of their native land with
their hide hacked and chewed from
the teeth of the wellknown Bulldog.
The Florida teuni is reported intact
ready for action nnd anxious for
the whistle.
The Bulldogs were put through a
hard practice Thursday and are more
thun ready to take on Florida.
Edd Gurr having been taken out
in the latter stuges of the Auburn
game Wednesday, has declared him
self ready to shoot with the same
steady accuracy that has made him
a marked player to he guarded
closely by opponents.
Joe Bennett claims that although
removed from the Auburn game for
over-eagerness he's none the less
eager for the fray. He doesn't in
tend to again literally run over his I
opponents.
"Greek" Weihrs. Bennett's run- j

"Rich" and "Porky" have said
nothing hut it is of course under

up to their past reputations and
prove themselves a thorn in the Al

The scrubs are also counting on
displaying their forms us they are

With Ed Gurr scoring off half the
points the Bulldogs again took the
Auburn Tigers Into camp here Wed
nesday night. The final score being
33 to 18. The game was one of the
hardest and roughest seen in Athens
this season.
Starting with greater speed and ac
curacy than they ended with Auburn
was able to keep apace with the Bull
dogs in the early stages of the game,
at one time being ahead. As the
game proceeded It became rougher,
with fewer goals for the Plainsmen.
Throughout the game Bennett and
Hahn became a little over-anxious,
each being retired for fouls and at
times It seemed us If both crews
would be disqualified.
Although beaten very severely the
Tiger guards gave the Bulldogs an
abundance of trouble. Nolan Rich
ardson being held to his season’s
lowest score. Poky Williams played
his usual good game feeding the ball
to Gurr in an excellent manner, en
abling Ed to mass up the large uum
her of points accredited him.
Bennett, Weihrs and Tippin did
some close guarding, It requiring a
tight defense to stop the Plainsmen’s
onslaught.

Play Well in Clean Struggle.
Sweeping like a hurricane and
playing like lightning the Bulldogs
swept North Carolina State oft their
feet in another famous 2 to 1 vic
tory here last Friday night. Gurr
and Richardson, backed by the en
tire team, shot goals from every con
ceivable angle.
The majority of the Tar Heel goals
were tilted in from distant points,
the opponents being unable to pen
etrate the famed Stegeman five man
defense. The half found the Bull
dogs resting comfortably ahead at
22 to 7. Not a foul was called on
the visitors during the first period
and their play remained clean
throughout the entire game.
