To Feature Week-end Dances
Fraternities Invite Over 325
Women for Little Com
mencement Activities
Over 325 women have been in
vited to attend the house parties
given by Georgia fraternities during
Little Commencement week-end.
Social functions will center around
buffet suppers, breakfast dances,
luncheons, smokers, and dinners.
Eight buffet suppers will be given
following the dance Friday night
from 1 to 2:15 a. m. Saturday morn
ing from 11:00 to 12:30 two break
fast dances will be sponsored.
Fraternities giving buffet suppers
at their chapter houses following the
first Pan-Hellenic dance tonight are:
Sigma Chi, Sigma Alpha Epsilon,
Phi Epsilon Pi, Alpha Tau Omega,
Lambda Chi Alpha, Alpha Epsilon
Pi, and Pi Kappa Alpha.
The Phi Delta Theta and Chi Psi
fraternities will entertain with break
fast dances at their chapter houses
Saturday morning from 11:00 to
12:30.

Glee Club Returns
From Annual Tour
Returning from the twenty-fifth
annual tour, the University Glee
club will arrive in Athens today. The
group, under the leadership of Hugh
Hodgson, director of the music de
partment, last night completed a
nine-day tour of the state.
Some 50 students, participating in
the Glee club, the club orchestra,
and stage shows, made the trip. Per
formances Including song and stage
hits were put on in nine Georgia
towns in addition to several pre
tour entertainments at nearby towns.
The Athens performance will be
made April 24. The group will ap
pear at the V'oraen's club in Atlanta
under the auspices of the University
alumni of Atlanta in May.

Of AEPi Convenes
At Local Fraternity
A conclave of all southern Alpha
Epsilon Pi chapters will be held in
Athens this week-end under the
sponsorship of the Omicron chapter.
Entertainment for the conclave will
be in conjunction with the Alpha
Epsilon Pi house party of Little Com
mencement. Joe Greenberg, isu-’'
preme master, New York, will be
present.
Marvin Nathan, Ocilla, president
of the local chapter, will preside at
the two business sessions to be held
during the conclave. Sam Eplan,
Atlanta, southern regional adviser,
will lead the discussions.
Invitations have been sent to Em
ory university, University of Vir
ginia, Vanderbilt university, Univer
sity of North Carolina, Mercer uni
versity, and the Savannah alumni
club.
The conclave headquarters are at
the Georgian hotel and will open
formally with a luncheon today at
noon and close with a dinner Sun
day noon.
Luncheons, dinners, smokers, and
buffet suppers will be given in honor
of the hundred representatives and
their dates who will be present at
the third Alpha Epsilon Pi conclave
to be held in the South.
