Claud Green, Clayton, former
president of the Y. M. C. A., was
the chief speaker at the women’s
vesper service Wednesday night at
the Strahan House. His subject was
"What Faith In Christ Means.”
Throughout the month of Febru
ary the Y. W. C. A. will present a
number of interesting out-of-town
speakers at these weekly vespers.
Among the February speakers will
be a deputation from Clemson Col
lege, on Feb. 9, and Dr. William
Eliott, pastor of the Druid Hilln
Presbyterian Church, who will con
duct a series of religious lectures
Feb. 13-15.
Law School Tea
Students and faculty members of
the Lumpkin Law School and mem
bers of the Pre-legal Club were en
tertained Sunday afternoon at a tea
given by Dean Alton Hosch at the
home of his aunt, Mrs. J. Y. Carith

entertain with a dance Friday night
from 9 to 1 at the Physical Educa
tion Building.
All agriculture and forestry stu
dents are invited and a nominal fee
of 25 cents will be charged stags.

Monday night for 27 men, Sigma Al
pha Epsilon entertained with a ban
quet at its house on Pulaski Street.
The fraternity colors of purple and
yellow were carried out in the dec
orations, which consisted of talisman
roses and pusminutn. Boutonnieres
of violets were at each place.

Luncheon Is Held Tuesday
Honoring Women's Clubs
Mr. and Mrs. S. V. Sanford and
the faculty of the University were
hosts Tuesday morning at a lunch
eon in Dawson Hall honoring the
student aid committee of the Geor
gia Federation of Women’s Clubs.
This committee was adopted in
1908 and has sent over 600 girls
through school. It lends money to
girls who are unable to attend col
lege and over 100 girls have been
through the University on these
funds. Loans may be paid back over
a period of two years after gradua
tion.
Special guests were: Mrs. A. V.
Gude and Miss Marion Woodward,
members of the Board of Trustees;
Mrs. Willis Ragan, Mrs. John Spald
ing, Mrs. Harry Green, and Mrs. S.
V. Sanford, members of the student
aid committee; Mrs. Harold Wry,

cational department, addressed the
Photography Club Wednesday after
noon in the Commerce-Journalism
Building. His subject was nation
wide photographs that he had made
during his extensive travels.

Club, said Tuesday. "This legisla
tion, typified by the Milier-Tydings

permitting manufacturers to set min
imum prices for retailed’ goods."
