To Lead Ojj Spring Festivities
Steak Fry
Zoology Club members and dates
will "fry their own” at a steak sup
per to be given at the Y. W. C. A.
Camp this afternoon at 4:30.
A treasure hunt, planned by Dr.
Horace Lund and Dr. E. E. Byrd,
will occupy the major part of recrea
tion for the afternoon. The steak
fry will immediately follow the hunt.
Chaperons for the event include
Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Nuttycombe, Dr.
and Mrs. George Boyd, Dr. and Mrs.
D. C. Boughton, Dr. E. E. Byrd, Dr.
Horace Lund, and Miss Matilee Dunn.

Opening the social season after
spring holidays is the Sigma Alpha
Epsilon formal dance Friday, March
25, at Woodruff Hall from 9 until
1. Jack Wardlaw's orchestra, Co
lumbia, S. C., is to furnish the mu
sic. The dance will be followed with
a breakfast at the S. A. E. house
for members and their datee.
Heading the lead-out will be Pres
ident Omer Franklin, Valdosta, and
Edith Ann Teasley, Toccoa. “Vio
lets,” S. A. E. fraternity Bong, will
be played during the lead-out, and
there are to be three no-breaks.
Decoration plans include a blue
canopy under which clusters of large
balloons will be accentuated by elec
tric lights. Streamers of emerald and
white with S. A. E. shields decorated
in the fraternity's colors of purple
and gold will hang above the or
chestra and the door.

In the case ex parte Law Students,
which is tried annually, the evidence
always shows that the legal ones
study too much and Judge Compen
sation sentences them to a night of
enjoyment at a Barrister's Ball. This
year the Ball will be held Saturday
night, March 26, at Woodruff Hall
from 9 to 12.
Head attorney in the lead-out will
be Bobby Knox, Thomson, president
of the senior law class, with Eliza-
>eth Mathis, Americus. Jack Ward-
law and his orchestra, Columbia, S.
C., will play for the dance and there
will be three no-breaks.
Subpoenas, sent through the mail,
will order dates of the law students
to attend the dance. A refusal will
be the equivalent of contempt of
court.
Decorations will consist of blue,
green, and white streamers along the
sides, while a blue canopy will cover
the hall. Streamers will form a back
ground for the orchestra.
Chaperoning the dance will be

Mrs. Robert L. McWhorter, Dr. and
Mrs. Ashley Sellers, Dr. and Mrs.

With Pre-exam Ball
As a pleasant prelude to exams,
Bradwell Hall women will give a
dance tonight in Pound Auditorium
from 9 until 1. Music will be fur
nished by the* Georgia Collegians,
and there will be four no-breaks.
Chaperons for the dance will be
Dean and Mrs. R. H. Powell, Mrs.
Julian McCurry, Mrs. R. H. Howell,
Mrs. M. A. Hart, and Mis. David
Anderson.

Following a banquet at Memorial
Hall, Psi Chi, national honorary psy
chology fraternity, initiated 13 mem
bers Tuesday night. They include:

Garner, and Lamar Beale. The new
associate members are Hazel Usry,

Junior Prom dance Friday night.

Fred Wickham, Columbus, was
elected president of the Epicurean
Club at a meeting held last Satur
day afternoon at the Strahan House.
Officers chosen to serve with Wick
ham are Sarah Payne, vice president;
Maybeth Carithers, secretary, and
Robert Horne, treasurer, all of Ath
ens.
Formed at the beginning of the
winter quarter under the direction
of the University authorities, the
club’s prime motive is to improve
social relations on the campus. Ap
proximately 200 freshmen and sopho
mores make up the membership of
the club.
