Coach Lamps was very pessimistic
when asked of his team's chances of
taking the Florida series
"Why, we’ll bo lucky to win one
game," ho said. "After losing to
Clentson on our home court, there
is no telling whut will happen In

Op en Play Monday
In Winter Program
Basketball, headline sport of the
intrumural program for the winter
quarter, will begin Monday In Wood
ruff Hall, according to F. H. Frost,
intramural director. Although
schedules have not been completed
the leagues will play in the follow
ing order: Monday, “X" Club Lea
gue; Tuesday, Sanford League, and
Wednesday, Blue Key League.
plrector Frost pointed out that
the program is much different from
that of last year. Goal shooting will
be replaced by fencing. Track, which
is usually held in the spring, has
been moved up to the latter part of
this quarter in order that Track
Coach "Spec” Towns may Bee what
material the freshman class has to
offer. Soccer will also come in the
latter part of the quarter.
Bowling and pocket billiards,
which brings the total to six sports
will begin the week of Jan. 13. Di
rector Frost asked that all clubs int
erested in bowling have someone see
him immediately so a place to hold
the tournament might be decided.
From all appearances S. A. E. in
tends to hold its monopoly on the
Governor’s Trophy. Complete figures
for the fall quarter show that they
lead with a total of 576 points while
Phi Delta Theta follows closely with
510 points. Lambda Chi Alpha and
Chi Phi take third and fourth places
respectively.
