At Charlie Williams’ Place
The Phi Delta Theta fraternity will
entertain with a hay ride at Mitchell
Bridge tomorrow night from 5 p. m.
to 11 p. m. The chaperones will be
Mrs. Katie C. Early, Miss Hiram
Henley and Mr. L. H^ Edmundson.
The Delta Delta Delta sorority will
celebrate Founder’s Day with a ban
quet at the Georgian Hotel on Tues
day night at 6 o’clock.
The Alpha Chi Omega sorority will
entertaiD at an open house Satur
day, November 25 at the sorority
house from 8 to 11 o'clock. Chape
rones will be Mrs. Alexander and Dr.
and Mrs. Walter Martin. All Uni
versity boys and cadets are invited.

Tho pledges of the Kappa Alpha
Theta sorority gave a weiner roast
for the actives at Anne Harris’ on
Thursday afternoon at 5 o’clock.
The Sigma Chi fraternity will en
tertain members and dates with a
buffet supper Friday night, Novem
ber 24 after the football game.
Chaperones will be Mrs. W. I. Jack-
son and Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Dunlap.
The cast of the University produc
tion, “Come Rain or Shine’’ was en
tertained with a party after the final
performance Thursday night at the
Fine Arts Building.
There will be an all Station Dance
given by the Navy Pre-Flight School
Saturday night from 9:30 until 12
o’clock at Dahlgren Hall. Chape
rones will be Navy officers and their
wives. All university girls are in
vited to attend.
The Chi Omega pledge dance will
be given on Saturday, November 25,
at the Georgian hotel from 9 to 12
o’clock. Chaperones will be Miss
Evelyn Sellers, Mr. and Mrs. Wil
liam Tate, Dr. and Mrs. Nuttycombe.

Department spoke on "The Modern
Family" nt the meeting of the Home-
eon Club. A special social hour was
held following the regular meeting
in the Homecon Room in Dawson
Hull.
The library will be closed this
week on Friday ut 2 p. m.. and next
week it will close at 6 p. nt. Wednes
day and will not reopen until Fri
day. It will run on its regular sched
ule Friday, but will close at 1 p. m.

Using art work of high school stu
dents over the nation for illustration,
Karl llolandor, educator and lectur
er, will speak on "Art, the Universal
Language" in the Chapel, Nov. 29,
at 8 p. m., according to Lamar Dodd,
head of the art department.
POW Hally was held at the Chapel
Monday, November 20. It was an
nounced by Margaret Lilly that the
crowd was the biggest yet. The pro
gram of entertainment Included a
comedy dance by Hope Woodward
and drawing numbers for the prize
winning girl. The lucky girl turned
out to be Betty Blanton and the
rally was brought to a climax when
it was found out that her date was
George Sklpworth.

offers complete instruction for Private
and Commercial Pilots.
You can take aeronautical courses on
the University campus and put theory
to actual use at Ben Epps Field.
You will fly Southeastern's
own modem planes.
Southeastern Air Service has
taught more than 10,000 Army Aviation
Cadets to fly. This organization can
teach you, too.
These flying courses are open to all,
whether University enrollees or not.
