New House To Be Occupied
By Delta Tau Delta Group
Members of Delta Tau Delta have
taken occupancy of their new house
which Is located at 398 S. Lumpkin
street.
This is the first house to be occu
pied by the chapter since Its reactiva
tion last summer. Before the begin
ning of the war, their house was lo
cated on Mtlledge avenue.
Tho house Is of a wood frame
structure consisting of ten rooms.
Remodeling of the house was carried
on during the fall quarter.
A housq warming will be held as
soon as the house Is fully decorated,
It was learned from Lee Dickens,
president of the chapter.
Delta Tali Delta announced the re-
election of Claude Sullivan, Mlllen,
as treasurer.
Tommy Salter, Atlanta, transfered
from Emory to tho Georgia chapter.
Richard Bullock, Fort Bonning, was
listed as a new pledge.

newly elected officers are: William
McCrary, Valdosta, president; Bob
Harper, Hapeville, vice-president;
Richard Plamptn, Atlanta, secretary;
Bill llarlln. East Point, treasurer;

chairman; Bill Glenn, Athens, ritual
ist; and Jack Atkins, Keysvillo, rush

Kappa Kappa Gamma, national
social sorority, has been selected by
Pan-Hellenic Council to be the 13th
group of its kind on the Georgia cam
pus.
Kappa has boen petitioning the
social life committee of Pan-Hellenic
Council for approximately 15 years
and now, according to Miss Martha
| Catlmer, dean of women, they will
i be allowed to colonize on this cam-

I been set, Mrs. Edwin S. Chlckerlng,
Montgomery, Alnbama, will visit the
University very soon. She will meet
a group of Kappa Kappa Gamma
alumnae here to discuss and plan tho
j colonization. *

standing members from other cam
puses and graduate students to Geor
gia to Installate the chapter.
Although the new group unani
mously passed the social life com
mittee shortly before Christinas, It
was officially welcomed Monday night
at a Pan-Hellenic meeting. A com
mittee mot following the meeting to
plan for official Kappa Kappa Gam
ma rushing. Special rules are to be
made for them because they will not
be ready for Winter Quarter rush
week. According to Miss Latimer,
they may be allowed to pledge girls
Spring Quarter while other sororities
hold no rushing.
