All four games were fast moving
affairs featured by plenty of passing
plays and quite a few of the rnzzle-
dazzle type. Seg^ral dellnlte All-

wares before large opening-day
crowds.

Lerncr and one to Benerofe. The out

for three quick counters.
Lineman Bill Clements scored a
safety by tagging an ATO back In
the end zone, and another two-

Ex-Bulldog Greats
Would Crush Terps
If Coach Wally Butts could rub a
magic lamp and amass all of the bull
dog greats of the past 15 years to
gether on one club, it is doubtful if
he would have any trouble with the
powerful Maryland crew that invades
Athens tomorrow night.
In his- starting backfield the Bowl-
master might elect a quartet com
posed of Bill Hartman, Frank Sink-
wlch, Charlie Trippi, and Johnny
Rauch—certainly a dream backfield.
The line would read: George
Poschner, Marion Campbell, Herb St.
John, Quinton Lumpkin, Walter Ru-
ark, Mike Castronls, and Dan Ed-
I wards.
