Clark Howell Tries
Nightly Quiet Hour
Following request of many
students, an experimental night

Clark Howell dormitory. The
period will extend from 7:30 to
10:30 p.m., according to Weste
Patton, director of men’s hous
ing, and will go into effect Wed
nesday.
Citing nearness of mid-terms
and complaints asking for a
quieter study area, Patton out
lined several rules that would
he enforced hy dormitory offi
cials.
Among these rules are no
visiting in rooms—only in the
lobby, radios kept low if played,
no loitering In the corridors or
bathrooms, and no boisterous
ness in the dormitory area.
The ruling will apply to all
214 Clark Howell residents,
regardless of class standing.
"One hundred and eighty are
freshmen and I'm sure they will
appreciate the ruling when final
grades are posted,” Patton add
