Keep in Trim Form
For May Aquacade
Lithe swimmers execute graceful
strokes each Thursday night as Dol
phin Club practices for its annual
aquacade. Members of the group are
chosen each year for their grace and
skill in the water.
A holiday theme has been planned
for this year’s show set for May 8.
Water pantomines will be presented
for eight festive events—New Year's
Day, 8t. Valentine’s, Easter, April
Fool, May Day, Independence Day,
Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
An April Fool comedy duet will
feature Virginia Cooper and Lulu
Richardson, both of Atlanta. O’Joy
Oakes, Athens, and Ann Charlton,
Savannah, will do another number to
gether. Music for the swimmers will
be furaished by recordings.
Admission to the event is free, but
because of limited space tickets must
be presented at the door. They may
be obtained from Dolphin members
or from Miss Eileen Russell, faculty
adviser for the club.
RODDY RATCLIFFE
Rod Catches Cupid Moving
On Campus Behind Winter
JAWJA CONFIDENTIAL: A sure sign that ol* man winter is out
and that young man with the bow-and-arrow season is on the way
in, popped up Tuesday night when Tex Crossin, Pike, and Patsy Em
bry, Theta, went to all extremes (and Rod means extremes) to plant
the shields on the cute miss from Col

Terminate Quarter
The Kappa Alpha chapter house
will be the scene of a cabaret-style
dance from 8 until 11:30 tonight.
Pledges will provide a floor show.
Floor committee consists of David
Ebersole, Atlanta, Ed Chambers, Ath
ens, Bowden Dobbins, Atlanta, and
-Paul Fambro, Rockmart. Chaperones
will be Sgt. Harold O. Marshall and
Sgt. James A. Boone.
Phi Delta Theta fraternity has
planned a shrimp supper and dance
at Charlie Williams’ from 7 until
11:80 tonight. Ham Stockton, Atlan
ta, Herbert Elliott, Augusta, and
Ramsey Simmons, Americus, com
prise the floor committee. Chaperones
will be C. A. Wall and Charles Beau

stay Woody Ansley, Chi Psl, finally
dood it and hooked Jan Griffin, ADee
Pi, with his’un.
Owen Bresler, Tau Ep, and Miriam
Paris, SDT, one of Rod’s former gals
of the week, will face the parson
come June . . . Even Bill Riley, PiKA
and Jean Knight, Alpha Chi, will get
spliced in the very near future . . .
Sunkissed Shirley Kist, AOPi, took
the chunk of ice from oo-la-la French
man Norfleet Midyetto . , .
CAMPUS CHIT CHAT: Rod won’t
commit himself and say it he's been
in the famed Lavender Room of the
Tri-Delt house, but he swears that
such gals as Joann Nason, Jaekee
Morrison, Mary McDonald, and
Gloria Preston are and will carry on
the tradition of ex-queens Gw-enn
West, Joy Smith, and Jane Dickin
son. And Rod would like to add that
Joy is somewhere in Hawaii with her
mate raisin' bananas . . . Miles mean
nothing to Theta Daisy Jane Robin
son now that she’s sporting Annapo-
lite Rob Davidson’s pin
Delta Siqma Pi Names
Seven New Members
Delta Sigma PI, professional busi
ness fraternity, initiated seven new
members last week.
Initiated were Jack Corn, Gerald
Hand, Howard Holliday, Bill Jlndra
Jr., Fayne Johnson, Charles Pyron,
and Roland Stubbs.
Informal initiation consisted of
constructive work at the Lumpkin
street chapter house, followed by for
mal ceremonies Sunday, ending with
a banqaet at the Holman Hotel.
Banquet speaker was Dr. J. Whit
ney Bunting, head of the Goergla
Business Research department, who
discussed "Citizenship and Leader
ship.”
Ray Griner was master of cere-
monios.
GIRL OF THE WEEK: A gal who
has had good trainin’ and blockin’
as far as steppin'
goes is none other
than Rod's choice
for Girl of the
Week. The name is
Betsy Earnest, sis
ter of right half
back Charlie. Her
120 pounds are
appropriately dis
tributed over her
B ft. B in. frame.
But Betsy, who is
sometimes called
the sweetheart of Milledge Annex, is
just what the doc ordered on his
prescription for pep and personality.
Jeannie had nothing on this fair lass
with light brown hair and blue eyes.
And once you see her you’ll bo drift
in' and dreamin’. Betsy likeB to swim,
dance and play the clarinet and the
phone number is 3073-W, but hold
on, the line forms to the right. ‘

DISA AND DATA: Even Emory I Set by Pi Kappa Phi
University gets into the act as Frank
Ogletree, ATO, slipped the pin to Tri

ette, KD, and Art Goldsmith seem
to be confining their after-hour stuff
to Art’s car, or is it the house, Becky?
KA Frank Collier and Margaret
Baumgardner are now one with the
unlatchin’ of his pin . . . And Jimmy
Alexander, Sigma Nu, is of the firm
opinion that his pin looks a lot bet
ter on Carlin Spelr, Pi Phi . . .
NAMES IN THE NEWS: Rod asks
if a certain Virginia nurse will be
over Saturday for the G-Day game
to watch her Fred Bilyeu in action
. . . Brute Rocco Principe and cute
Bee Marlowe might be linked soon,
but Rod again asks, with what? Al
pha Gam Margie Bonner mighty
proud of A. T. Ford's Delt pin while
Jerry Pryor, Phi Delt, released his
shield to ADPi Rita Johnson . . .
PI Kappa Phi fraternity will hold
a pre-exam dance and rush party to
