Concert Series Ticket Sale Begins
University Civic Concert series
tickets are on sale in the music de
partment office, and Sigma Alpha
Iota and Phi Mu Alpha, music fra
ternities, are selling tickets in dormi
tories, sororities and fraternities.
Prices of tickets are: downstairs—
students and adults, $6.18; orches
tra extension—adults, $5.15, and
students, $4.12; balcony—adults,
$4.12, and students, $3.09, and back
balcony—adults, $2.06, and students,
$1.55.
Programs included in the series
are Donzetti's opera, "Don Pasquaje,”
presented by Iloris Goldovsky; a
violin concert presented by Arthur
Grumiaux; an Atlanta Symphony
Orchestra concert directed by Henry
Sopkin, and a concert by contralta,
Beverly Wolff.

An open bouse Sunday from 3 to
5 p.m. at Fine Arts gallery will open
Ulfert Wilke’s one-man exhibition of
40 recent paintings and drawings.
The exhibition will last through Nov.
4. Wilke is a visiting artist from
the University of Louisville, Ky. His
mediums are oil, water color, colored
crayon, gouache, wash, caselin and
pencil.

Worth McDougald, journalism as
sistant professor, today issued a call
to "all singers, dancers, musicians,
actors—anyone with talent’’ to par
ticipate in the weekly television pro
gram sponsored by the School of
Journalism. A date for auditions will
be set later.

Student Union meets every Thurs
day at 7 p.m., Helen Lanier, Union
publicity chairman, said Tuesday.
Students who attend three consecu
tive meetings, she said, are eligible
for membership in the Student Un
ion Council.

p.m. Dr. Eugene Odum, biology pro
fessor, will discuss the Atoms for
Peace conference he attended this

Women dormitory officers have been named for the coming year.
