In Intramural Program with Four Contests
Three new leagues Imve been t

The Professional League, consist
ing of the professional frnternitles,
was created as a result of reorgani
zation of the Governor's League of
last year.
Various organizations and church
groups compose I he Club League, and
dormitory teams will play In the
Dormitory League. These teams for
merly played in the Independent
League, which has now dissolved.
The Professional League will in
clude Alpha Psi, Delta Sigma PI,
Pharmacy, Omega Tau Sigma and
Alpha Kappa Pel. Their games begin
today.
Raptist Student Union, Wesley
Foundation, Newman Club and Gee-
chee Club teams will meet In the
Club League.
In the Dormitory Longue, games
will be played between Joe Brown,

pressed his pleasure at seeing the

said. "Maybe it won't he too much
longer before we can get 100 per rent
participation from each men's group
on campus independent and frater

Intramural activities for the three
leagues tills quarter Include football,
horseshoes and the touch football
pentathlon. Lawson describes the
pentathlon as a contest of individual
skills required for touch football.
Contestants enter individually for
their organization and compete
ugainst time.
The second week of intramural
play saw the Governor’s League
in full swing with four {fames be-
injf played. Three teams repeated
their first week triumphs to re
main undefeated in trophy compe
tition
Kappa Sigma got a real scare from
Delta Tau Delta, hut finally managed
to come out on the long end of an
8-6 score.
Sigma Chi, high scoring team for
the day, rolled over Sigma Nu 21-0
for win number two of the new sea
son.
Phi Delta Theta stayed with the
league leaders by grabbing their sec
ond victory on a 13-6 decision over
[Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
A Kappa Alpha team which had
previously lost to Kappa Sigma
[bounced back from defeat and went
into the win column with a 19-0
^drubbing of Chi Phi.
