By J. J. Newberry and Marvin Greenberg
Bemuse of the acute parking problem on the University campus, eight students were asked for their
suggestions this week. They were asked, “In addition to the 11 proposals approved by President Ader-
hold last week, do you have any suggestions as to how the University's parking problem might be par
tially alleviated?” Their answers were:
WAYNE PICK A It t), Augusta: 11 ' ^
"Certain parking areas should bo
designated lo students according to
class standing. Students should he
allowed to occupy this space for a
maximum of two hours. The aid of
the Athens police department should
he secured to help reduce the traf-
fle congestion between classes."

HAROLD KRAFCHICK, Long
Reach, N. V.. “I believe if the Uni
versity had a regular bus system
that would enable students to ride
front Ag Hill to main campus and
vice-versa, it would help to cut down
the parking situation in that stu
dents taking their cars to classes
would be less.”

JEANNETTE MITCHELL, Montl-
cello: "It Is a fact that something
must be done about the parking^fa-
cllitles at tin* University, however, I
do not think every student should
Insist on having a car. The main de
fect concerning the car situation lies
in the fact Hint there aren't enough
parking spaces. I think the campus
should lie more centralized, uud then
students wouldn't need cars. How
ever. tills Is a thing of the past and
there's nothing that can be done
about It now. Maybe If in the years
to come, all the sorority and frater
nity houses moved to Lumpkin, we
wouldn't lie faced with such prob
lems.”
WILLIAM SALVATORE. Newark,
N. .1. "Parking can be helped if the
students used tlictr cars only for ne
cessity. If the cops would check
more closely on town cars, the stu
dents could make better uso of tho
space now provided.”
LEONARD OWENS, Fitzgerald:
"Due to the lack of space In the im
mediate area of the most important
buildings, parking lots should bo
constructed underground and up In
tile air on elevated mechanisms.”
PEC HI V DAY. Covington: “For the
present, I think ttie parking tickets
could bo meted out a bit more len
iently. Students linvo rigid schedules
lo meet, and It Is very difficult to
park. We do, however, realize that l
