Seven Groups To Participate
In SAI’s Annual Sorority Sing
Sigma Alpha lota, national music sorority, will sponsor the annual
Sorority Sing at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Fine Arts Auditorium.
As a result of a Panhellentc de
cision made earlier in the school
year, the seven sororities which did
not enter the winter quarter Stunt
Night competition will take part in
Sorority Sing.
The groups participating in the
event are Alpha Delta Pi. Kappa
Kappa Gamma, Kappa Delta, Chi
Omega, Delta Phi Epsilon, Zeta Tau 1
Alpha and Phi Mu.
Rehearsal for the performance is
scheduled for Monday at 6:45 p.m.
in Fine Arts auditorium. No props,
costumes, stage equipment or spe
cial lighting effects will be allowed.
It is recommended that participants
wear dressy dresses, short or long
evening dresses or skirts and sweat
ers. Sorority colors may be worn,
but this will not affect the decision
of the judges in any way.
Each group will sing one sorority
song. Another selection may be pa
triotic, spiritual or an excerpt from
a musical comedy or an operetta.
The length of each sorority’s presen
tation should not exceed six minutes.
Important among the winniug
qualifications are harmony in prefer
ence to singing in unison and the
number of women taking part from
each group. The performances will
also be judged according to caliber
of material, interpretation, diction
and tone quality.

Solve Problems
If you fellows have been follow
ing the advice of Roddy ltntcliffe
and as a result have been plagued
with lipstick on your collars, or
have met with a cold shoulder
when you tried to follow that ad
vice, don’t go off the deep end
into the Oconee yet. There is now
a remedy for both situations!
As for the lipstick, with one of
the new Dacron and cotton shirts
you have no worry. Even the rankest
amateur can wash out the last trace. 1
If It’s no date for the formal, your
worries are over. The suave are wear
ing the new narrow knife pleat
shirts.
For those who go all out In their
dress, there are undershorts that re
flect your favorite pastime or in
terest—from a golfer trying to break
80 or a pair with a baseball motif
to a green pair printed with "Erin
Go Braugh.”
It would seem a shame to cover
these shorts except with a pair of
pleatless, back-strapped, university
model, polished cotton slacks. Tan Is
the leading color followed by black,
but they are available in a wide
range of other colors.
