CAMPUS POLL
Students Dislike Compulsory Retirement Law
This week The Red and Black asked students for their opinions of the rule that all professors must
retire at the age of 67.
MIKE ENKEW, sophomore — I
think that in some cases the rule is
Ideal, but in the majority of cases,
many factors more than Just the age
of the person should bo considered.
* • •
JOE SMITH, sophomore,—Actually,
I think that It should depend on the
physical state of the professor. When
they get too old to move around they
shouldn't he here. I don't think
that age should be the only factor.
• • •
GARY McAl'LEY, graduate—Pro
ductivity does not stop with the age
of 67. Educational contributions
can be made until interpretative de
velopment ends—-and in my opinion
this ends with death.
• • •
EVELYN MARTIN, senior—I don’t
like general rules because there are
always exceptions. Some people
should retire at 35.
• • *
ANN I*OLLOCK, senior— I think
it definitely depends on the person

and his ability to teach. I
don't think that age makes a dif

M ALIN DA SMITH, freshman — I
believe if he is useful and has stored
up all of that knowledge, he would
be more useful at this age than at a
younger age.
