SPORTS QUEEN Sherrie Adelinan, Atlanta, doesn't exactly plan to
make the l'. S. Olympic weightlifting team this summer, but she does
present a strong argument here for the beauty of Georgia's coeds. The
pert Clarke llowell freshman is the campus March of Dimes Queen
and is a member of Sigma Delta Tau Sorority.
P. E. Elans Wrestling Tourney
A wrestling championship, sponsored by the University Intramural
department, will be held in Woodruff Hall starting May 9 at 7 p.m.
and will be continued each night thereafter until a winner is declared
in each weight class.
The weight classes are 123-130
lbs., 137-147 lbs., 157-167 lbs.,
171-191 lbs., and the unlimited cate
gory. Individual champions will be
determined in each weight class and
individual medals wil lbe awarded.
To be eligible for the wrestling
competition, one must be a full-time
student oft he University, must put
in a minimum of four workouts of
one hour each, or be excused by the
intramural wrestling tournament
director. Workout sessions will be
held Monday through Thursday be
ginning April 25.
Weigh-ins will be held Monday
afternoon, May 9, from 2-6 p.m. All
wrestlers are responsible for being
on time to their matches. Failure
to report on time for a match will
result in a forfeit by the delinquent
wrestler.
Uniforms for the wrestling compe
tition will be sweatpants or shorts,
tennis shoes, and no shirt.

Co-Ed Cops Second In Florida Tourney
Carmel Stewart, University junior
from Brunswick, was runner-up in
the inaugural University of Mlami-
Ocean Reef Invitational golf cham
pionship, April 11-12. The tourna
ment was held at Ocean-Ueef-on-
Key Largo, Fla.
Miss Stewart finished second to
Judy Eller, national women's col
legiate champion from University
of Miami. She is currently the wom
en’s intramurnl champion and rep
resented the University last summer
at the National Women's Intercol
legiate Championship at Chapel Hill,
N. C. Miss Stewart also placed sec
ond in the Athens Country lub’s
invitational golf tournament, Oc
tober, 1959.
The brown-haired lass Is an edu
cation major and spends all her
spare time on the golf course trying
to sharpen her game.
She is a member of Alpha XI Del
ta social sorority.
