After you spent 10 minutes
scraping Ice off your wind
shields this morning, did your
car refuse to start? Does
spring quarter seem as far
away as an “A” in Dr. Walsh's
Chemistry 121? Are you Just
barely alive after having three
midterms on Tuesday?
Beware, friends, you are suf
fering from the winter quarter
wearies!
There is a remedy for this
contagious disease and you
don’t have to stand in line at
the infirmary to get it. The
cure will be available this
weekend in the form of a really
active social calendar.
The first dose will be Friday
night at the IFC Winter Con
cert featuring our very own
Walter Forbes and the Lone
some Travelers as well as The
Lettermen.
Several fraternities have
elaborate party plans for Sat
urday night. The Phi Delts are
having their annual Bowery
Ball which is strictly a closed
affair this year. “Great Motion
Pictures” is the theme of Pikes'
Costume Ball which is also
closed. Bo Diddley will enter
tain at the Sigma Pis’ informal
dance at Moina Michael. Many
other fraternities will have in
formal and open parties at
their houses Saturday night.
An interesting sidelight to
this weekend’s social activity
will be a concert on Sunday
by Joe and Penny Aronson.
This Jewish folk duo which
specializes in satire will ap
pear at the Georgia Center at
7:30 p.m.
