Students Plan
Vacation Fun
ily ItRKNDA HARRIS
That time Is drawing near
when the book store will be
cluttered with students selling
their books to get extra spend
ing money for spring vacation.
Whether headed north to
New York or south to Day
tona's shores, everyone Is
counting the days, as they are
slowly passing, until finals are
over. Students are also count
ing the "two insufficient days”
allotted for this vacation.
Daytona appears to be the
most popular place to go—
beautiful white sands, warm,
breezy and moonlit nights, and,
of course, swarms of students
from colleges all over the
Southeast. If this is your
choice, the Safari Motel (by
far, the U. Ga. favorite) ha3
probably already sent you your
reservations. Perhaps you did
not think ahead and will be
faced with a barrage of "no
vacancy” signs as you ride
along the famous S. Atlantic
Avenue.
Many brave souls are headed
towards New York. These stu
dents will have only two days
to soak in as much of the Big
City as they are able. But few
will deny that there’s plenty to
he done in two days. Especially
ly If they are two days immedi
ately following finals!
New Orleans seems to be the
new attraction not only for
boyB but for girls t*><s year.
From the reports on the New
Orleans situation, it seems as
if the students who go there
will need an extra vacation
afterwards.
