This weekend promises to be j
the last big one for this spring
and this year. Several fra
ternities will help brirtg the
year to a close with their an
nual spring parties.
The ATOs will begin their
weekend with a Jam session
at the house Friday afternoon
from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday
night they will go to Charlie
Williams’ for an Informal par
ty. Bubba Boyd will entertain
at both of these parties. Satur
day night they will be at Moina
Michael with music by the Ice
men for their annual formal
and the announcing of the new
sweethenrt.
The Clii Plils will have their
annual Chakett Ball this week
end. Friday night they will
have an informal party with
music by the Oxfords who will
also entertain Saturday morn
ing from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Saturday from 4 p.m. to 5:30
p.m. the Chi Phis are sponsor
ing a concert at the amphi
theater for the student body.
Jackie Wilson will be the en
tertainment for this concert
and for the Chakett Ball Satur
day night at Doster's Roller
Phi Mu Plans
I-A Conclave
The Phi Mu District I-A Con
vention will be held in Macon
this weekend. A highlight of
the convention will be a per
formance by Georgia’s Phi Mu
Washboard Band.
The group will attend an ad
dress by the Phi Mu national
president, Mrs. Adelle William
son.
Other chapters attending the
convention will be from Mercer
University, the University of
Chattanooga, Emory Univer
sity, the College of Charleston
and Brenau College.
Rink when the new sweetheart
will be announced.
The PlKAs will hold their
annual Dream Girl Ball Friday
night at Moina Michael where
they will announce their new
sweetheart. The Fiestas will
furnish music for this and for
their Jam session Saturday af
ternoon at Lake Welbrook.
The Majors will play for their
party that night at the same
[ place.
The Lambda Uhls will an-
| nounce tlielr new sweetheart at
their annual Crescent Girl
I Dance which will be at their
j house Saturday night.
Saturday night is also the
! time for the annual Sigma Nu
j spring rush party. This will be
S an informal party at their
house with music by Bubba
Boyd.
