WUS Georgia Committee
To Select New Chairman
The position of Chairman of the World University Ser
vice, Georgia Committee, is now open to any University
student who meets all requirements.
To be eligible to run for
chairman, the student must be
at least a junior by fall quarter
and meet minimum require
ments for any student office.
Applicants must show inter
est in WUS, desire to aid their
fellow students throughout the
world and the ability to organ
ize and run a WUS drive.
Applications must be sub
mitted to the WTS commit
tee, 415 Memorial Hall, or to
Student Activities Office, no
later than March 24 at 4 p.m.
All applicants will be Inter
viewed on March 25 by the
present committee.
An election will be held at
the discretion of the commit
tee, and the new chairman will
then take office.
After the election, the steer
ing committee will meet to ap
prove the choice of chairman.
As part of his duties and re
sponsibilities. the chairman
will appoint members of the
general WUS committee to
head subcommittees. He must
accept final authority and re-

Book Circulation
Shows Increase
Over Last Year
January’s circulation in the
University Library was 28,081
In comparison with 27,294
volumes In January, 1964, said
W. Porter Kellam, director of
libraries.
Library circulation also
showed a 16.8 per cent increase
with 94,761 In circulation In
fall quarter 1964 over the cor
responding figure, 81,025, for
fall quarter 1963.
Circulation figures in the
fall of 1963 were as follows:
September, 10,391; October,
28,840; November, 28,130;
and December, 13,664. Circula
tion figures in the fall of 1964
were as follows: September,
8,847; October, 33,366; No
vember, 33,532; and December,
19,016.
