Dooley I j&unches
Spring Campaign
Georgia head football coach
Vince Dooley will launch his
second campaign at that posl-
11 o n Wednesday afternoon
when he greets 97 candidates
for the opening of spring
drills.
Dooley has specified trying
to find replacements for gradu
ated hacks Don Porterfield,
Fred Barber, Leon Armbrester,
Frank Lankewlrz and Wayne
Swinford as his major prob
lem. He said vacancies left by
tackles Ray Rlssmiller and Jim
Wilson augment this problem
for the coaching staff.
Although the Bulldogs were
very successful with offensive
and defensive teams Inst sea
son, Dooley said that his men
will work "both ways” during
the first part of spring practice
until he locates his starting
XI.
Spring practice was origi
nally slated to begin April 6,
but Coach Dooley moved It back
so that he can get two days
extra practice.
