Ponce do Leon tracked
through miles of early America
trying to find the fountain of
youth to no avail.
On campus, modern Ponce do
Leons are continuing that
search, under the auspices of
the University's new Depart
ment of Itiocliemlstry, headed
by Dr. Harry G. Peck Jr.
These two substances act as a
kind of combined communica

for the Information of life from
generation to generation.
To these has been added

as in men. It is the eerie unity
which gives biochemistry "uni

A few of the reasons given
by girls dropping out included
lack of finances, being cut
from the group they wanted
and deciding not to pledge a
sorority.
Louise Adams, commander of Belle Corps, has announced that
BO new members have been selected for the corps from approxi
mately 300 applications received.
Because of this large number of applicants. Belle Corps was
able to interview only 115 girls.
MISS ADAMS STATED that it was an extremely difficult job
in making the final selections. It was especially difficult since
so many girls were qualified.
She further said that Belle Corps appreciated each girl's
making an application and wished that more girls could have
been interviewed. Applications will again be accepted next fall.

The Bulldogs led 43-31 at
halftime.
Mississippi took the tip and
began to close In before Geor

to pull ahead by 15. The Rebels
came within seven points at one
point, but in the final minutes
of play the Bulldogs tightened
their defense and rebounded
their way to a 20 point lead
and a 91-71 victory.
Commenting on individual
effort, Rosemond said.
"Harschor and Waller had a
very good night, and. of course,
Powell started things off for
us by hitting those first three
baskets."
Looking to the future. Rose
mond said, "We hope to pass

against Mississippi State.”
Georgia will face the Ma
