ences, has been appointed
president of Georgia Southern
College, Statesboro, by the
Board of Regents of the Uni
versity System
The appointment, effective
July 1, was made at the De
cember meeting of the Board
of Regents. Dr George S
Parthemos. vice president for
instruction, has announced

Arts and Sciences has been
named, he said, although a
committee composed of the
heads of each division in the
school has been appointed by
President Fred C. Davidson
to make recommendations

Chest's campaign in the Ath-
cns-Clarke County drive
This year's goal was
$219,925 and Winterville was
the residential division in
which the TEP's collected
Community Chest supports
11 agencies encompassing
both young and old.
