The mini skirt is still stylish, especially when topped by a
maxi coat. This ensemble is made of apricot jersey, the
overcoat can be buttoned and worn without the skirt as a
jumper.
A dark brown crepe blouse is covered with a beige wool
vest. The pants are pin-striped wool. The outfit is com
pleted with wooden beads, two-toned shoes and a scarf at
the neck
Fall fashions going long and colorful

Fall fashions have a new
look. Everything is going "lon-
guette" including longer skirts,
gauchos. pants, coats and
vests. And with this long look
come straight-leg pants, shoul
der bags, boots heavy jewelry
and T-shirt tunics.
Handbags have gone to the
soft, shoulder type except the
plastic handbags imported
from Japan and wooden crea
tions The plastic import. *re
durable, one-piece construc
tions and match all outfits.
COLORS ARB different
Fall favors colors such as win-
tergreen. plum, mallard blue,
smoky gray, foamy green and
dove brown Also, "black is
back
Skirt lengths are free of
formula. Caucho pants, worn
with boots, are popular and
made of all materials. The
waistline is almost always well
defined, especially with wide
belts of leather and crushed
patent The hugging bodice look
is prevalent along with woolen
knit hats, gaucho hats and jaun
ty fitted boots
The look is softer in all as
pects of fashion. The newest
thing in handbags is buckskin
and snakeskin Also, crushed
patent leather is predicted to
remain strong throughout fall.
Pigskin luggage and handbags
will be seen with the new look
too.
Necklaces and increasing
The dog collar" can be worn
with virtually every style. Jew
elry is bolder and more colorful
now and bags to match this
jewelry is a new trend. Even
gloves are on the verge of a
comeback

the increasing profits
The 1930's have inspired
laces and returned them to the
fashion scene. Buyers are even
asking for the colors of 40 years
ago. rather than brighter new
colors The 'Women's Wear
Daily" from New York com
ments that "the thing all these
laces have in common is their
limpness... their gently faded
color...a fragility that hasn't
been seen in a long time ."
The soft, flowing look brings
about a focus on the exposed
face, using a tint of the eyes,
mouth and fingertips with
greater intensity. Use much
eye shadow and NO eye liner
BOOTS WILL be back in all
styles. A new stretch nylon
knee-high has been created
with a punctured foot to slip
comfortably into casual shoes.
Boots with the shiny look are
especially popular. Buckles and
added ornaments vary the
boots to contribute to the jew
elry look."

on long coats. But coats have
another added accent — fur.
This is the greatest season
for fur. buyers have remarked

cuffs than last year, usually
with gathered, puffed sleeves
The collars are still pointed
Crepe is extremely popular in
blouses as well as in evening
vear.
Today s feminine woman is
attracted by bath oils, powders,
perfume and cream sachets
These items are selling well
because the new look especially
emphasizes a total beauty
scheme
Fall fashions are exciting

of fashion
