Lutherans hold
voter campaign
The Lutheran Center will conduct a voter information
campaign on campus tomorrow because, according to
Pastor Edward Ralph, "As a Christian student group we feel
students have a responsibility to exercise their franchise.”
Ralph said that the group will encourage students to
vote in their place of residence, whether it may be Athens
or elsewhere. "We feel that this is a service which a
University student group can provide in an election year,”
he said.
‘‘Voting involves discipline." Ralph said. ‘‘It’s easy to
stand back when things aren’t going your way.”
The information campaign will involve distributing
pamphlets on campus which inform the student as to how
and where he can register and which encourage him to
excercisi his voting power.
