Portuguese army
continues roundup
LISBON — The Portuguese army is continuing to round
up secret police agents of the former dictatorship regime
and other right-wing extremists and to unearth hidden arm
stores, a spokesman for the ruling military junta said
today
"We know of many of these extreme right wing elements
and of their arms stocks but the army is in complete
control of the situation," junta spokesman Maj. Mariz
Fernandes told a news conference.
He said many members of the former right wing
Portuguese Legion have turned themselves in voluntarily
along with their weapons
Powerplant leaked
radioactive gasses
HADOAM NECK, Conn - Radioactive gases leaked
