"The Law and The Testimony.'
The Law and The Testimony were the great Foundation
Stones of The Reformation of tha 16th century begun by
Lufhar, and established by Calvin. Knos. and other mighty
men Inspired by God. The same great Foundation Stones.
The Law and The Testimony, ware also tha basis of the 17th
century Revival and Reformation, sometimes called the
Puritan Reformation. The Law and The Testimony were
words frequently on the Ups of John Wesley, and were the
great Foundation Stones of the 18th Century Revival led by
Wesley and which Revival saved England from experiences
similar to those of France at the time of her Revolution.
Not only did the Wesleyan Revival greatly bless England,
but its fire leaped across The Atlantic Ocean and kindled
Mself in North America by the hands of such men as Whit
field. Asbury Coke. Jonathan Edwards and others, and
spread rapidty over our country, producing such men in
political and civil Ufa as George Washington. Patrick Henry,
etc
Patrick Henry “cried aloud, spared not, lifted up his voice
like a trumpet” ”Glve me liberty, or give me death!" As an In
dividual have often thought of and thanked God for what
Patrick s zeal and efforts, along with kindred spirits, has
meant lo me personally, and our nation, but have often
thought that he “stopped short,” and should have gone
further and said "Give me righteousness, or give me death."
for without the righteousness of God Imputed to us by faith"
we go to death In time, and in etemHyl
Liberty without righteousness usually produces "license,
which in tum produces and provokes the "wrath of God*
upon men and nations! Through the blessings of God which
have come from our rich and godly heritage we have
freedom and liberty, which we have turned Into "license!"
By the way. why don't you get familiar with your Bibla if
you have taken the vows to join a Protestant Christian
Church — or If you have not joined — Get familiar with ad of
It?
Ask the Author and Finisher of F aith to give you a believing
heart "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by The Word of
G od." I f you read It and decide you don't want to or can't trust
The God therein revealed then resign and get out of The
Church and relieve It of some "dead wood and excess
baggage." and "peddle your own canoe” on Into eternity, In
the boat formed by your own wisdom and skillfull hands!
The great and inspired men of God mentioned above were
all In one accord In one respect "They beMved in The God of
The Bible.” No only that ”H contained The Word of God,” but
It "was The Word of God.”

Women golfers begin
SIC tournament today

Although the weather conditions are less than ideal. 24 of the
nation's finest women’s golf teams will tee it up today for the
start of the Women's Southern Intercollegiate Golf Championship
being played on the Georgia golf course
“This is the strongest gathering of collegiate golf teams outside
of the National Championships," commented Georgia coach Liz
Murphey. “Fifteen of the 24 teams entered have a chance to win
the team title." Murphey added
Heading the list is two-time national champion Miami. Fla . led
by All American Pam Elders, but fierce competition is expected
to be furnished by San Jose State. Tulsa. North Carolina. Florida,
and Georgia
The Lady Bulldogs are led by freshman Mitzi Edge and Athens
native Terri Moody who finished second in last year's event Both
Edge and Moody rank among the favorites in the individual
competition along with Carolyn Hill and Holly Hartley of Tulsa
and Miami's Elders
"Mitzi is just playing super golf." said Murphey. ‘and she
seems to be peaking at just the right time.’*
With defending champion Brend Rego now serving as an
assistant coach for Florida International. Moody ranks as the low-
returning individual
Another Bulldog whom Murphey feels has a chance of copping
the individual crown is Carol Donald who returned to the Georgia
team this year after a one-year layoff.
Georgia has already won three tournaments this season
including the Duke Invitational and the Lady Paladin marking
the first time that the Lady Bulldogs have won three events in a
single season
Sam Jose State, which is participating in the tournament for
the first time, has two impressive victories to its credit in the
Tucker Invitational and the Lady Aztec and also one of the
nation's finest freshman in Juli SimDson
Still. Murphey likes the Bulldogs’ chances for taking home the
team title
