‘Hoage for Heisman ’ to become reality?
ATHENS, Ga AP — Georgia Bulldogs defensive back
Terry Hoage describes his chances of winning college
football's Heisman Trophy as a "long shot " But he's still
the subject of a campaign for the award
Hoage is well aware that no defensive player has ever
won the Heisman. but he's still a candidate. Hoage's

Each week, a gold-colored flyer lauding Hoage's ac

the country in hopes of garnering Hoage some Heisman
Trophy votes Hoage laughed when Hubbard first men
tioned the subject.
“I laughed, my mother laughed, my girlfriend
laughed," he said He found "Hoage for Heisman" T-
shirts, bumper stickers and posters hard to imagine
Hoage was modest in his assessment of his play after
Iasi Saturday’s 16-16 Bulldog lie against Clemson, a game
in which he recorded nine tackles, blocked two field goals
and received a grade of % out of a possible lot) from
