Bulldogs face Gators in Sat. TV game
Back on the court, the Gators
are led by center Dwayne Schint-
tius. Although not a crowd favorite
either at home or on the road,
Schintzius a very' popular player
umong pro scouts and is one of the
most talented players in the SEC.
Add the bruisers of Livingston
Chatman and Dwayne Davis
and the Gators have the SEC’s
best front line. Chatman gave
the Bulldogs fits last year,
scoring 57 total points in the
three contests Alec Kess | er
The Gators lust guard Clifford Lett to graduation and are
hurting The guard play of Renaldo Garcia and B J. Carter has been
well short of perfection. The guards combined for eleven points
against the Rebels and are averaging only a six assits, as a tandem,
on the season.
Litterial Green must slash into the lane and try to get the
slower Gator front line into foul trouble. Rod Cole and Jody Patton
must play tight defense and force turnovers while connecting from
the perimeter and feeding Alec Kessler.
Neville Austin draws the toughest assignment of stopping Schint
zius. Austin has improved his game dramatically over last season,
but the test will be ngainst the experienced Schintzius.
