along with "the people, the stability, the

wouldn't change it for the world."
Catherine David, Vice-President

"personally rewarding."
These activities also helped her to
develop her leadership abilites. As vice-

Management of alcohol, she found that "it's
not just an organization doing things, it has
an impact on people's lives."

"I'd really like to work at UGA. I already
have my football tickets. So, hopefully I can
make it to every game."
Andrea Naterman
Andrea Naterman, Student Association
President Pro Tern 1989
As a member of the Student Association
and Sigma Delta Tau, Naterman learned,
"how to work with different people." She said
she feels that both of these experiences will
prove useful in the business world.
Naterman's personal growth was
influenced in part by the adviser to the
Student Association Tom Cochran, who
taught her how to, "reason things out."
After leaving the University, Naterman
said she will "miss knowing that when you
walk into a room, you'll know someone and
have something to talk about."
During her four years at the University,
she has most enjoyed the diversity in the
student body.
Rob Nelson, University Union President
1989 -90
As president of the University Union, Rob
Nelson "gained just as good an education as
in the classroom." Being president of such a
large organization taught him how to work
well with people.
After graduating, Nelson plans on
attending graduate school and eventually
getting a job as an adviser to organizations
at a college or university.
"Victor Wilson, the director of orientation,
convinced me to go into the field of college
student personnel," Nelson said.
Nelson said he thinks the University is
special because of "the relationship that
exists between the town and the school."

Chris Offutt, Social Chairman of Pi Beta Phi
1989 - 90
"Being in Pi Beta Phi has given me so
many opportunities to do things for the
community — work in blood drives, help the
homeless and Adopt-a-Grandparent. Also, I
have made some of the best friends I've ever
had and intend to keep them for a long time.
Although my involvement with Earth Day
1990 was limited, I take the saying, Think
Globally, Act Locally' to heart and feel
somehow I helped spread environmental
awareness."
Being from Washington D.C., Offutt was
challenged by attending school so far away
from home.
"Living in a state where I did not know one
person sharpened my social skills threefold,
and 1 have met the most phenomenal folks
here at UGA. My parents and extended
family have given me the courage to come
so far away and do my best, and I am
ecstatic to admit I have."
After graduation, Offutt plans "to return to
D.C. and live with mom. She gave me the
inspiration in two words — 'car insurance.'"
Offutt dreams of becoming a famous talk
show host. 'Time to hit the real world," she
said. "In a few years I'll be the Joan Rivers of
David Letterman. Count on it."
Benjamin Roundtree, President Black
Affairs Council 1990
Benjamin Roundtree became involved on
campus because he "had an interest in each
and every group." Roundtree said the Black
Affairs Council, Leadership Resource Team
and Black Theatrical Ensemble prepared
him for life. 'Tve learned just as much in the
student center as in the classroom," he said.
Roundtree's immediate plans are to work
at Morehouse College on the Upward Bound
program. He also plans to receive his
masters degree in Broadcast News at Clark
University in Atlanta.
"My career goal is to be a university
professor and host a news magazine show."
