Translation,” has a new film,
which hits theaters Oct. 20.
“Marie Antoinette” stars Kirsten
Dunst as the title character.
Shakira’s “Oral Fixation Tour”
will stop at Philips Arena in
Atlanta Sept. 12. That same
night, Cat Power & the Memphis
Rhythm Band will play Variety
Playhouse.
The Flaming Lips, famous for their
psychedelic sound and outrageous
on-stage antics, will play The
Tabernacle in Atlanta Sept. 13.
The band is currently working on
a live CD/DVD due in early 2007.
Jim James of My Morning Jacket
is a busy man. The band’s new
live double-album, titled
“Okonokos,” will hit stores
Sept. 26, and a live concert DVD
of the same name will be
released Oct. 3.
“Guitar Hero 2,” sequel to
the best-selling PlayStation 2
game “Guitar Hero,” comes
out Nov. 7. The game features
more than 40 new tracks, and
there are rumors of genre
spinoffs, including country
and metal editions of the
game.
“Thirteen Moons,” a new
novel by Charles Frazier,
best-selling author of “Cold
Mountain,” hits bookstores
everywhere Oct. 3. Like its
predecessor, the book tells
of a man, an odyssey and
true love.
Season 3 of ABC’s Emmy-win-
ning series “Desperate
Housewives” premieres 9
p.m., Sept. 24. See who will

Kiss
New York City band The
Rapture will follow up its 2004
effort “Echoes” with “Pieces
of the People We Love,” which
hits stores Sept. 12.
“The Last Kiss,” directed by Tony
Goldwyn (2001’s “Someone Like
You”), is a contemporary comedy-
drama starring Zach Braff and
Rachel Bilson. The movie hits the
aters everywhere Sept. 15.

PULP FICTION
In Quentin Tarantino’s cult classic “Pulp
Fiction” (2004), an all-star cast featuring John
Travolta, Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson
and Bruce Willis tells the story of two hitmen
on a quest for a mysterious briefcase whose
contents were stolen from their mob boss.
Danger, however, lurks along the road as the
two make a huge, and bloody, mistake.
Showtime: 8 p.m. Tonight

boyfriend Gary (Vince Vaughn), a problem aris
