Dogs optimistic
despite losses
By PHILLIP KISUBIKA

There are many words to
describe the mind-set of the
Georgia men's basketball
team.
According to Coach
Dennis Felton, "desperate” Is
not one of them.
“‘Desperate’ is not the
word, but we’ve got to win
more games,” Felton said
after Wednesday's loss to No.
1 Florida.
"That's easier said than
done because there are no
bottom teams In this league.”
The Bulldogs (13-9, 5-5
SEC) have lost their last
three games after winning five
of their first seven SEC
games, and they now have to
go on the road to face South
Carolina (12-10, 2-7) on
Saturday.
Georgia won its first meet
ing this season 80-54 in
Athens.
“Coming off all these loss
es, we re coming back to a
team that we beat earlier this
season,” guard Levi Stukes
said.
“It’d be a great feeling to
get another win on the road
to lift us up and get us back
moving in the right direction.”
With six games remaining
before the SEC Tournament
in Atlanta, the Dogs have to
get back on the winning track
if they hope to stay in con
tention for a postseason
berth.
