Women’s soccer kicks off season undefeated
By ADAM UPPER
The Red & Black
The Georgia women’s
soccer team (4-0) used an
offensive explosion Sunday
afternoon to defeat South
Florida (0-2-1) 3-0 at
home.
It took 39 minutes for
Georgia to get on the
board, but once they did,
they were able to score
rapidly. In an 11-minute
span, Georgia scored three
goals. The Bulls forced
only three saves from
Georgia’s goalkeepers.
Although the Bulldogs
won, head coach Patrick
Baker wasn’t pleased with
the team’s performance.

Sophomore Lindsay

Their music philosophy
is non-commercial and
simply a service to new
bands.
“I don’t think it’s about
determining who’s the
best, or who makes the
best music or anything
like that. It’s really just a
process of filtering
through what we think
people want to hear and
what we think deserves to
be heard,” said Michael
Quinn, WUOG’s program

By ROBINNS EXUME

Perfection can only last
for so long. After winning
its first eight games of the

leyball team tasted defeat
against Georgia Tech
Friday.
The Bulldogs (8-1)
entered the Georgia Tech
Classic with seven con
secutive wins, all via shut
out. In the first game of
the Classic, the Bulldogs
earned another win with a
3-0 sweep over Western
Carolina (3-6).
Later in the day, the
“Our guys ran back on and
their guys walked on. I told
our guys our individual fit
ness and team depth has
got to pay off.”
He was right. Three
minutes after halftime,
Georgia went up 2-0.
Freshman Caroline
Simpson headed the ball
in for her team-leading
fourth goal of the season.
Less than 1:30 later,
Simpson assisted on
Georgia’s third goal.
Even with the victory,
Georgia lost a key member
of its attack. Ashley
