Newspaper Page TextFour hot spots on campus are favorites for studying By BILAL YOUSUFZAI The Red & Black Asa student at the University, you have certain expectations and responsi bilities, such as going to football games on Saturdays and enjoying the occasional concert downtown. But when classes start getting in the way of your college expe rience. fear not. The University has some amazing places for you to study and work. Most stu dents have heard of the Student Learning Center and the Main Library, but there are many other places on campus to finish your paper. Science Library Located right behind Soule Hall, this library is a popular study place for many science and math students. The Science Library houses the South Campus Writing Center; where students can get help with their writing assignments. It also holds many of the life, physical and agricultural science books found on campus. In the evening, the library becomes pin-drop quiet, making it perfect for stu dents who need to study in silence. Bioscience Learning Center (BLC) Found in room 406 of the Bioscience Building, the BLC contains computers and study tables for students to use. Along with resources for biology students, the BLC resource library contains MCAT, ORE and OMAT books. North Campus grass Students looking for a slightly unconventional place to study can rest on one of the many patches of grass found on North Campus. The weather out side is especially nice around the fall and spring seasons, making them very peaceful places to read and study. Many students study and relax on the grass nearby the Arch on sunny days. ing outside is the occasional encounter with those pesky squirrels on North Campus, which are not afraid of get ting too close to you. Snelling Dining Hall Last year the wonderful folks at Pood Services decid ed (in their infinite wisdom) to keep Snelling open 24 hours a day, Monday to Friday. Studiers looking for a caffeine (and breakfast) fix can get it easily at Snelling, making it an ideal place to pull an all-nighter. 3
