Russell Hall parking lot plays host to
marijuana arrests
Two students and three visitors were
arrested and charged with possession of
marijuana Aug. 15, said University Police
Lt. Eric Dellinger.
University students Shannon Perry
Buckley and Jonathan Bolt Stewart were
arrested in the lower Russell Hall parking
lot, Dellinger said.
Visitors Brfanna Ashley Murphy, Juan
E. Torres-Qaliego and Mico Quintero
were also arrested.
Dellinger said Quintero and Torres-
Gallego were also charged with obstruc
tion after fleeing the scene.
An officer observed the group walking
through the parking deck and acting sus
piciously, Dellinger said.
He said the officer found contraband,
which was later determined to be mari
juana.
No one in the group took ownership of
the marijuana, so everyone in the group
was charged with possession, Dellinger
said.

Lost wallet leads to fraudulent
identification charge
A University student was arrested on
Friday at 12 p.m. at Russell Hall and
charged with possession of fraudulent
identification.
According to the University Police
report, a Russell Hall employee found a
cell phone and camouflage wallet on
Bloomfield Street. The wallet contained a
Georgia Driver’s License issued to
Matthew Courtland Hasten, as well as
another driver’s license issued to John
Joel Wenzell, another University student.
While speaking with the officer in the
Russell Hall front office, the employee
pointed out Hasten, who was leaving the
building.
The officer stopped Hasten, who
admitted the wallet and cell phone
belonged to him, according to the report.
He also admitted he had used the identi
fication belonging to Wenzell to gain ille
gal access to a bar.
