He and his wife have

L.E.A.D. programs for the
past two years.
Dooley stressed the
need to develop student
leaders, emphasizing the
importance of persever
ance.
“Stick yourself out there
and take risks,” Dooley
said.
He recalled his friend
William Porter Payne's
dream of bringing the
Olympics to Atlanta.
Dooley jokingly remem
bered thinking Payne was
insane and may have taken
too many hits to the head
during his football career.
But more importantly,
he recalled crying with joy
with Payne as it was
announced the 1996
Olympics would take place
in Atlanta. Payne had
accomplished the unthink
able.
He reminded students
that “luck is when prepara
tion meets opportunity.”
As students ate their
Chick-fil-A sandwiches,
Shane Todd, operator of
the Beechwood Chick-fll-A,
told them of the "Three
O’s" of success.
The “Three O’s” include
taking ownership, being
opportunistic and being
optimistic.
At the end of the event,
students walked between
the hedges to center field
in Sanford Stadium.
Students from the two
rival schools took pictures
and raced on the field,

When students were
asked what advice should
be passed along to younger
students looking to make a
difference within the cam
pus community, most
focused on the many
opportunities to get
involved at the University.
“Take advantage of
opportunities as soon as
you get to campus,” said
Maeve Connolly,

“Getting involved right off
