SILVER JUBILEE
ATLANTA, Ga. — On August
22, Sister Jane Frances Schreck
of the Visitation Order cele
brated her 25th anniversary as a
nun. Before taking her religious
vows, she was Mary A. Schreck,
of Savannah.
She is an alumna of St. Vin
cent’s Academy here which she
atended for three years. After
leaving St. Vincent’s she attend
ed Mount de Chantal Academy in
Wheeling, W. Va., where she
graduated. She entered the con
vent after graduation, taking
her vows as a member of the
Visitation Order.
Sister Jane Frances is the
daughter of the late Victor G.
Schreck and the late Margaret
Reilly Schreck. She has two
brothers, Peter R. and Joseph C.
Schreck.

was/canonized May 29, 1954, by
decree of the Sacred Congrega
tion of Rites signed March 1,
is to be universally celebrated
on September 3. The only other
Pius listed on the calendar is
St. Pius V, Pope. The three
represent, respectively, the sec
ond, twentieth and sixteenth
centuries. Pius V and X were
born in northern Italy, Pius I at
L’Aquila, notf ar from Rome.
