In Twenty Years
COLUMBUS, Ga.—The Bishop
Gross Council, Number 1091,
Knights of Columbus, Columbus,
Georgia conducted its first Ini
tiation Ceremony held in Colum
bus in over twenty years on Sun-
day, September 30, at the
Knights of Columbus Hall.
The Class consisted of thirty-
seven candidates from Columbus,
Macon, Albany, and Atlanta,
Georgia. The Officers of this
Council conducted the ceremonies
and from the reports of local
members and guests from visit
ing Councils, the rituals were
very impressive.

of the entire affair. Among the
visitors were State Deputy Nick
Camerio and Past State Deputy
John McCrary.

ceremonies on Sunday afternoon,
September 30th, Rev. John F.
McDonough officially assumed
duties as- Pastor of St. Peter’s
Church in LaGrange. Right Rev
erend Joseph G. Cassidy of At
lanta, as the personal representa-
tive of His Excellency, Most Rev.
Francis E. Hyland, Bishop-elect
of the Diocese of Atlanta, per
formed the ceremony in the pres
ence of a large assemblage of
priests and parishioners.
Coming to LaGrange for this
