Mrs. Ebmeyer who was known
and esteemed by many Augus-
tans, celebrated her 95th birthday
last January. She had worked for
J. B. White’s Department Store
for more than 40 years.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Em
ma Frauenfelder Kunz of Ger
many; a niece, Mrs. G. Swenson
of Ivington, N. J., and a nephew,
William Boiler of Union. N. J.

To Barry College
Sodality Post
ROME — Miss Maria Diprima,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman
Diprima of Rome, Georgia, re
cently completed her junior year
: at Barry College, Miami Florida,
and was elected Prefect of the
MISS MARIA DIPRIMA
Barry College Sodality of Our
Lady for the coming year. The
Sodality Prefect serves also as
vice-president of the Student
Council and is thus the second
highest office a Barry student
may obtain.
Maria, a music education ma
jor, is active in all phases of col
lege life. Scholastically, she holds
the Bishop Barry Scholarship,
and was named to the Dean’s List
for both semesters, holding the
highest average in her class. In
her sophomore year, Maria pre
sented a concert at the piano, and
she plans a similar program for
next year. She plays also in the
orchestra and sings with the
Tara Singers and Choir.
Active in club life as well,
Maria served as House Council
chairman for the past year, and
holds membership in Beta Kappa
and the Athletic Association.
In late summer Maria will join
other student leaders at the NSA
(National Student’s Association)
convention in Ann Ai'bor, Mich
igan, before going on to Chicago
where she will be a delegate to
the SSCA (Summer School of
Catholic Action) convention, con
ducted by the Jesuit fathers. She
will be away for more than two
weeks.
