SOCIETY OF SAINT MICHAEL’S
RECEIVES DIOCESAN CHARTER
ATLANTA—Miss Loretta Glea
son, President of The Society of
St. Michael, has announced that
plans have been completed for
affiliation with the National
Council of Catholic Youth, known
also as the CYO.
The formal announcement
came during an impressive cere
mony at the dance sponsored by
St. Michaels for benefit of St.
Josephs Orphanage.
Father Faschan made the an
nouncement after commenting on
the outstanding contribution that
this young adult group has made
to Catholic action in the Atlanta
Diocese, especially in the past
year. He then presented to Miss
Gleason the charter which made
the Society of St. Michael a Dio
cesan organization affiliated with
the CYO.
With this event the Society of
St. Michael is on the threshold of
new and increased activity.
President Gleason wishes to
thank the many who have made
this possible, especially those re
sponsible for the new look which
was introduced late this past
summer. This new look came in
the form of a new constitution
and by-laws, which gave the or
ganization four vice presidents to
assist the president in carrying
out the increased activity and the
administration of the club.
