SHANEKA McREED, (Above) a 4th grade
student in the Clarke County School District.
In her last 3 academic quarters, Miss McReed
has recorded 27 A’s and only 2 B’s, and ser
ving as class secretary. Shaneka is highly in
volved in R.E.A.L. which stands for “Rele
vant Education and Applied Learning”
designed to prepare students for life in the
American free enterprise system. Shaneka
McReed’s goal right now is to become a
singer.
CONGRATULATIONS TO KEISHA
CARITHERS, (Below) a recent graduate of
Florida A&M University. Miss Carithers earn
ed her degree in Health Care Management.
A 1990 graduate of Clarke Central High
School, Keisha is the daughter of Douglas &
Eleanor Carithers.
KEEP ON PUSHING: (Above) Frankie
Michael Lane, Jr. Clarke Central High School
graduate will be a rising senior at Albany State
Majoring in Business Administration in
September. Frankie is the son of Patricia
Thrasher and stepson of Anthony Thrasher.
TEN YEAR OLD SHUNTAE McRAE
(Below) recently competed in the AAU Winter
Invitational held in Suwanee, Georgia. She
competed as a level 5 and took first place on
the vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor
exercise and All-Around for her age group.
She also competed in the level 5 State Meet
held in Tucker, Georgia where she took first
place on the floor exercise and second place
all-around for her age group. Shuntae com
petes for the Athens-Clarke Recreation and
Parks Department. She has only been in gym
nastics one year and she has already com
pleted two levels of competitive gymnastics.
She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Matthew
McRae, Jr.
