First Intercollegiate Girls'
Quintet Formulating Plans
And Schedule For *39-*4O Season
Reinhardt, Young
Harris Included On
List Of Opponents
With the official O. K. .still ring
ing in the air Coach Kehnon Hen
derson began formulating plans
and schedules for West Georgia’s
newest athletic endeavor, a girls
basketball team. Head Coach Rhea
Taylor said that due to the fact
that 60 per cent of the state funds
were given during the winter it was
decided that the college could sup*
port both a boys and girls team.
Tenative plans are for the new
team to play such sextets as Young
Harris and Rhineart. Other mateh
es will be announced as soon as
they are scheduled. Starting from
scratch the new squad will natual
ly offer rgany surprises and thrills
that only #n unknown can offer.
As yet a name has not been select
ed for the group but since the boys
team battles under the name of the
Braves it seems reasonable that the
girls team will adopt an Indian
name.
University of Wyoming students
last year spent $64,500 in member
ship dues in student organizations.
$23,373.75 was for national dues,
pins and initiation fees.
