and anew excitement in

Things are beginning
to look up for the Wolves
after winning two
straight games on the
road. The team played
in the Columbus State
Invitational over the
weekend and improved
their overall record to 4-
4 on the season.
The Wolves won
3-2 in overtime against
Eckerd on Friday, and
continued to defeat
Lincoln Memorial 1-
0 Sunday afternoon.
Before beginning
the road trip Friday
afternoon, head coach
Kovacs felt things were
bound to change and
that her team has yet to
play at its best.

another successful drive,
Baldwin and his offense
drove 70 yards up the
.field, and James
Kennebrew scored
on a one-yard
touchdown to give
the Wolves their first
lead of the night.
Unfortunately,
Arkansas Tech
continued to put
pressure on West
Georgia’s defense,
scoring twice before
halftime and taking a
25-17 into halftime.
Despite trailing at
halftime the Wolves
still had a chance to
'win the game. The
offense scored early in the
second half, and trailed
only by one. Consequently,
after the Wolves scored,
the Wonderboys scored,
and that is my goal for
this team going into this
next stretch of games,”
Kovacs said. “We have
played two teams in the
top 25 of the nation and
only lost 1-0 to both.

score. Ultimately, they
overpowered the Wolves
27-17 in the second half to
win on the road.
Offensively,
Baldwin had a great night,
passing 22-of-36 with two
touchdowns. He combined
with backup quarterback,
Ryan Penile, to complete
33-of-53 passes to 11
different receivers for 293
yards.

West Georgia
maximized their
potential and fulfilled
the expectations of
their coach. The Wolves
have this week off, but
will return to the field
next Tuesday at 5 p.m.
against Clayton State.
