Operation Rice Bowl
O peration Rice Bowl is an excel
lent way to celebrate the Lenten
season in your parish or school. It
offers a unique opportunity for
believers to walk with members of
the human family throughout the
world who seek nourishment. The
monies collected from the Diocese of
Savannah were used in the following
ways:
Neighbors In Need
Mrs. Rosemary Baughman,
Director
P.O. Box 3032
Albany, GA 31706
(912) 883-2872
Neighbors in Need distributed food
to 317 families in two months. Of
these families, many were elderly.
Cutbacks in food stamps have
increased the need for requests for
food in Albany.
South Georgia Mission Center
Brother Walter Gluhm, CSC
601 So. Laurel
Adel, GA 31620
(912) 896-4555
Brother Gluhm distributes Thanks
giving meals to feed prisoners in over
seven counties. People from the three
mission churches of Lakeland, Adel
and Nashville help with a project that
has continued for over 20 years and
has helped the prisoners feel that they
can participate in a holiday and give
thanks. Brother Gluhm’s works were
featured last year in The Southern
Cross.
Saint Catherine’s Kitchen &
Shelter
Father Lawrence Lucree
Our Lady of Lourdes

Your donations help Father Lucree
provide meals for the guests.
Saint Francis Center

Valdosta, GA 31601
Food was purchased from the food
