Cathedral Golf Classic
The Cathedral Classic golf tournament, to benefit the Social Apostolate,
will be held at 9:00 a.m., at The Landings Club on November 6. The cost per
player is $85, including golf, range balls, lunch and prizes. Hole sponsors are
needed at a cost of $25 (individual) and $100 (corporate). Checks should be
made payable to the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist and addressed to: The
Cathedral Classic, 222 East Harris St. Savannah, GA 31401.

Marriage Encounter Information Evening
The Savannah Marriage Encounter Community invites couples to a Wine &
Cheese Information Evening on November 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Saint Frances
Cabrini Parish Hall, 11500 Middleground Road, Savannah. Information will be
given about the next Marriage Encounter Weekend scheduled for March 9-11,
2001. Nursery available upon request.

Savannah Deanery Youth Mass
On November 12, all young people of the Savannah Deanery are invited to
attend a special youth Mass at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 11500
Middleground Road. Dinner will follow at no charge.

Savannah 2000 retreat
On November 17-19, all young people, ages 13-30, are invited to attend the
Savannah 2000 Retreat in Augusta at Saint Teresa of Avila Church, from Friday
at 6:30 p.m. until Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The fee is $20, including lunch and din
ner on Saturday. Financial assistance is available to those in need.

Cathedral Ecumenical Service
All are invited are invited to a city wide ecumenical prayer service at the re
opened Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist on November 30 at at 7:30 p.m.
Bishop J. Kevin Boland will preach during the service. This prayer service is
being held in honor of the Jubilee Year 2000, the 150th anniversary the the
establishment of the Catholic Diocese of Savannah, the 100th anniversary of
the rededication of the Cathedral church, and the reopening of the Cathedral
following two years of restoration. The event is open to the public.
