The lace with seed pearls was repeated on the vol uminous dome-shaped skirt ex tending into a full length chapel train. The brides veil of im ported silk illusion fell from a lovely 3-tier coronet of pearls. The bride was given away by her father Mr. Edward John Fechtel Sr. Maid of honor was Miss Diane Elizabeth Fechtel twin sister of the bride of At lanta. The reception was given by the brides parents at the Ca thedral Center. After a wedding trip to South Carolina Mr. and Mrs. Pittman will reside at 2406 Peachtree Road, N. E., Atlanta, Georgia. The bride’s mother wore a beige dress of peau-de-sole with matching accessories and bronze symbidium orchids. The bride wore a gown of white silk organza posed over taffeta beautifully enriched with re ' embroidered Alencon Lace The groom's mother wore a dress of teal blue with match ing accessories and a corsage of white phalaemopsis. Biddulph of Atlanta, Ga., be came the bride of Robert C. Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Evans of the Dixie Plantation, Quitman, Ga., on Saturday, August 31st, at Sa cred Heart Church in Atlanta, Ga. Rev. Walter Donovan offi ciated. The bridegroom Is attending Georgia Tech, where he was captain of the track team in 1963, and a member of the Tech ”T” Club. The bride recently graduated from St. Joseph’s School of Nur sing in Atlanta, and Is now ser ving on the nursing staff of St. Joseph’s Infirmary. The bride was given away by her father, Charles J. Biddulph. The maid of honor was Mary Frances Campbell of Atlanta. The bridal attendants were Bar bara Moore, of Atlanta, and Ca role Chappell of Cordele, Ga. They wore street length dress es of Ice blue satin and carri ed cascades of red roses. Mary Oetjen Engaged To Robert Norton The best man was George A. Evans, father of the groom. Groomsmen were Michael Gro over, Americus, Ga., and Tho mas Biddulph of Atlanta, the bride’s brother. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Oetjen, Jr., of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter Mary Adele Oetjen of West Palm Beach, Florida to Robert J. Norton of West Palm Beach, Florida, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Norton of Miami, Flori da. The bridesmaids wore Wil low Green floor length satin dresses with a fitted sleeve less bodice and sweetheart scooped neckline. Highlighting the setin midriff was a center front inset princess panel sweeping into a full skirt, a self rose and bow accent the bust line. The maid of honor dress was exactly like the brides maids except it was gold satin. The hats worn by the maid of honor and the bridesmaids were a small rose with a soft veil. The bride wore a wedding gown of white dulcette satin. The fitted bodice featured a high bateau neckline and elbow length sleeves. A plastron of re-embroidered alencon lace was appliqued on the bodice and extended down the front panel of the skirt. The carriage back which extended into a chapel train caught at the waistline with a self bow. The veil of silk tiered illusion was attach ed to a pearl coronet. The bride carried a cascade of white ros es with a single white orchid. The bride-elect is a graduate of Decatur High School and St. Joseph’s Infirmary School of Nursing of Atlanta. At present she is employed at Good Sam aritan Hospital, West Palm Beach, Florida. The groom-elect is a gradu ate of Georgia Tech with a de gree in Mechanical Engineer ing. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and ser ved as President of his Senior Class. He is employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Corp., West Palm Beach, Florida. After a wedding trip to West Palm Beach, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Evans will reside in At lanta. The wedding is planned for October 5, at St. Thomas More Church in Decatur. Church Ceremony Unites Kathleen Lombardy, David Hynes Kathleen Rose Lombardy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lombardy became the bride of David Mitchell Hynes, son of Mr. and Mrs. James J. Hynes Aug. 29 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Monsignor Joseph E. Moylan officiated at the double ring wedding. ried a bouquet of baccara roses and English Ivy. Auxiliary To Hold Fashion Slum Oct. 10 The reception was given by the bride’s parents at the Cas tle View Town Club. Doreene West kept the bride’s book, Mary Margaret Hotard, Ellen Lom bardy, sister of the bride, and Peggy Hynes, sister of the bridegroom assisted in serving. On Thursday, October 10 at 11:30 A. M. in the Grand Ball room of the Atlanta Americana, the Auxiliary of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Free Cancer Home will sponsor its seventh Annual Champagne Luncheon and Fashion Show. Mr. Leon Frohsin, with Miss Helen Zel ler, as coordinator, will again present his beautiful fashion show during the luncheon. Upon returning from their wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Hynes will live in Clemson, S, C. where Mr. Hynes will be an assistant coach at Clemson College while he completes his education. The bo dice fashioned with a modified sabrlna neckline and long slee ves, was accented with bridal pearls and irridescents. The bride’s fingertip length veil of illusion, fell from a pillbox of seed pearls and ir ridescents. The bride’s only jewelry was a strand of peai^s which was a gift of the groom. Bridal Parties Fete Bride-Elect Sherry Latz Miss Sherry Ann Latz was honored at a linen shower gi ven by friends of Mrs. Tho mas E. Little, Sr. in Miami, Florida. A dinner-bridge party was held at the home of Miss Judy Geisler of Atlanta, Geor gia. Miss Latz was entertain ed at a champagne luncheon at the home of Mrs. George Cur ran. Hostesses were Mrs. George Curran, Mrs. Joseph Kirby and Mrs. H. P. G. Jones. The graduates of D’Youville Academy will honor Miss Latz at a miscellaneous shower to be given at the home of Miss Nancy Adams. Mrs. Louis Amann will entertain at a buffet supper at her home on East Wood Valley. Miss Latz is the bride elect of Thomas Edward Little, Jr., of Miami, Florida. Altar Society To Hold Meeting Following the business meet ing, the Towanka group of the Horizon Club will present a pro gram for the Altar Society which sponsors the Campfire Girls of Sacred Heart parish. All proceeds will be used for the benefit of the patients at the Home. There will be door prizes and a drawing for a 1964 Chevrolet Impala, 4-door hard top air conditioned car. Of *7ie Veal Scallopini 2 pounds veal cutlets, sliced 1/4 inch thick l/2teaspoon garlic salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper Flour 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1 medium onion, thinly sliced 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms 1 » teaspoon parsley flakes 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 bottle ( 7 ounces) lemon- lime carbonated beverage 1/4 teaspoon oregano Season cutlets with garlic salt and pepper, then dredge in flour and pound lightly. Brown meat on both sides in butter in skillet. Remove meat and set aside. Add onion ami mush rooms to skillet and cook until lightly browned. (Add a little more butter, if needed), Stir in parsley flakes, oregano, salt and lemon-lime beverage, blending well. Add browned meat. Cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 48 min utes to 1 hour. Georgia, August 30 at Sacred Heart Church. The bride’s cou sin, Reverend Clarence J. Big- gers officiated at the ceremony. Her finger tip veil of tule was trimmed in lace. She carried a prayer book covered in lace and white orchids. Miss Margret Copeland was maid of honor and wore a yellow dress of peau de soie with mat ching hat of illusion veil. Her bouquet was a nose gay of yellow and white fugi-mums. hardson and Ronnie both of Lithonia. Farmer throated orchid tied with white satin ribbon. Edward Savage of Garden City, Alabama acted as best man. The ushers were John Ly nch, brother of the bride, Dav id Holland, the groom’s cousin and Ronnie Ziegler. Mrs. B. L. Jinnett, of Dur ham, North Carolina, was her sister’s matron of honor. Miss Pat Kelley and Miss Charlotte Reele of Lithonia were brides maids. bride’s parents, was held at the Lithonia Woman’s Club. Mrs. J. H. Reele greeted the guests as they arrived. The bride’s mother wore a kelly green silk dress with matching accessories, her cor sage was a white orchid. The mother of the groom wore a pale blue lace dress with matching accessories, her corsage was an orchid. Following the reception In the church rectory the couple left on a trip to Jekyl Island. The matron of honor wore an azalea pink dress of organza over taffeta. The bodice was fashioned with a scoop neck line with a tucked under shep herdess back and three quarter length sleeves. The bell shaped skirt was accented by a large self back bow with streamers to the hem. Her matching hat was a flat bow of organza with a soft circlet veil. She carried a cas cading bouquet of azalea pink carnations and white baby breath ri*»d with azalea ribbon. Miss Lynda George of Lithon ia, kept the bride’s book and distributed tiny rice bags of il lusion tied with valley lilies and pink ribbon. Assisting in serving were Miss Brenda Wilson, Miss Anne Pearson, Miss Kay Taylor, Miss Ginger Pattillo, and Miss Pat Slaughter all of Lithonia.
