OBITUARIES
Dom. Kotarski
Dommick Kotarski, 71, died
February 20, 1964 in the United
States Soldiers Home in Wash
ington, D. C. Mr. Kotarski,
who served 35 years in the Unit
ed States Army, was a member
of St. Gerard’s Parish in Fort
Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Mr. Kotarski is survived by
his wife Mrs. Helen Kotarski;
a son, Daniel Kotarski, Chatta
nooga, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs.
Anthony Palaibes, Cleveland,
Ohio; three grand-daughters,
Nichole Kotarski, Constance
and Cynthia Palaibus and one
grandson, Leonard Palaibus.

M., offered the funeral Mass at
St. Joseph’s, Marietta, on Tues
day, for Mr. Arthur Joseph
Younker, Jr., of East Marietta.
Mr. Younker is survived by his
wife, his three sons, Ronald,
William and Mark, and his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J.
Younker of Paducah, Ky. Bur
ial was in Marietta National
Cemetery.

Altar Society
Rev. Lawrence Murphy, C.S.
S.R., pastor of St. Gerard’s
Catholic Church in Fort Ogle
thorpe, was the speaker at the
regular monthly meeting of the
St. Gerard’s Altar Society held
February 20 in the school cafe
teria. Father Murphy told of
his recent trip to Hartford,
Conn, where he attended a con
vention held to discuss the ur
gent need for vocations to the
priesthood, sisterhood and bro
therhood.
Mrs. Ralph Brown reported
on the distribution of layettes
to needy mothers, important
project which the group spon
sors. Besides formulating plans
for various Easter services, the
members voted to have the
first of a series of pancake
breakfasts after 10:00 30 a.m.
Mass on March 1, 1964. It was
decided that Mrs. C. E. Hunt
would have the care of the al
tars during March. Mrs. Mic
hael Samlo, who presided, was
hostess.

win 32-21 with an overtime at
Peachtree Hills gym Monday,
Feb. 17.
The game was wide open all
the way from the tip off. D'YA
frosh took the lead right off
and relinquished it only once.
West Fulton was handicapped
in the last quarter when two
of its first stringers fouled
out. Denise Simons, a skilled
forward for the frosh, ran up
their score with an impressive
15 points.
