Tea took place in the school's cen tral courtyard. “Fashions from the Enchant ed Garden** was the title of the Fashion Tea held at Drexel Catholic High on Sunday. The Fashion Tea, sponsored by the newspaper staff and their par ents. took place outdoors in the school's central courtyard. Models for the occasion in cluded students from Drexel, some of their parents and friends. The outfits modeled by the teen-age models were furnished by Jacqueline’s Dress Shop at 3579 Gordon Road. Mrs. M. Mickelbury was the MRS. FAYE G. YOUNG commentator. Music for the oc casion was furnished by Mr. Graham Jackson. Contributing to the entertainment were a group of ballet students from Jeanne’s Dance Studio. Mrs. M. Terrell served as chairman of the committee which planned the tea. Other committee members included: Mrs. E. Comer, Mrs. C. Gools by, Mrs. L. Watkins, Mrs. J. Smith, Mrs. H. Turner, Mrs. M. Bellamy, Mrs. M. Hill, Mrs. C. Jeter and Mrs. M. Mickel bury. Receives National Recognition Mrs. Faye G. Young, Chief, Dietetic Service, VA Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia and a mem ber of Christ the King Par ish, received a signal honor for the year 1964-65 in being listed in the Third Edition of “Who's Who of American Wo men”, nationally known bio graphical reference dictionary j published by Marquis, Who's Special Mass PARIS (NC) — President Charles, de Gaulle, recovering from prostate surgery, attend ed Sunday Mass (April 26) sit ting in an armchair in a room near his private suite in Cochin Hospital. The Mass was also attended by Mrs. de Gaulle and was cele brated by the hospital's chap lain. Who, Inc. Her biographical sketch will also appear in “Who's Who in the South and Southwest’’. A graduate of Clarke College, Dubuque, Iowa* in the field of Foods and Nutri tion. Mrs. Young's career has been In the field of hospital diete tics for the U.S. Army and the Veterans Administration. She has been the recipient of sev eral awards and commenda tions, notably the Badge of Mer it from the U.S. Army in 1945; Recognition Award from Geor gia Home Economics Associa tion in 1958; Commendations from Atlanta Metropolitan Area Civil Defense in 1959—60; Cita tion for Community Service from United Appeal in 1960; and Dietetic Department com mendation from the Chief Med ical Director, Veterans Ad ministration, in 1958. Always active in the profes sional £*soclatlons of Dietetic and allied fields, Mrs. Young is a past-president, Georgia Dietetic Association, 1958-59; past-president, Southeastern Hospital Conference of Dieti tians, 1962-63; and is presently Secretary, Georgia Nutrition Council and Chairman, Public Relations Committee, Georgia Dietetic Association. Mrs. Young is a member of The American Dietetic Association, The Georgia Dietetic Associa tion, The Atlanta Dietetic As sociation, The Southeastern Hospital Conference of Dieti tians, The Georgia Nutrition Council and The American Pub lic Health Association. Georgia has claimed Mrs. Young as a resident since 1940 when she was married to Ralph Sims Young. They have one daughter, Anne Elizabeth, who is 16 and a student at D'You- ville Academy in Atlanta. The great majori-. ty of club members in the up per grades of Catholic schools receive YOUNG CATHOLIC MESSENGER. The theme for the 1963-64 school year has been “Guard the Freedoms They Won.*’This is part of the Commission's continuing program to promote greater understanding and ap preciation of the principles of Christian citizenship among boys and girls in upper elemen tary and high school grades. YOUNG CATHOLIC Messen ger presented monthly articles suggesting club activities and because of the present dis cussion,*’ he said. Holy See Gives Aid To UNICEF UNITED NATIONS. N. Y. (NC) — The Holy See has sent 51,000 to the United Nations Children's Fund, as in past years.
