Bishop Disputes Official Report
SAN LUIS, Argentina (NC) -
Bishop Carlos Maria Cafferata of
San Luis said he places more trust
in reports from workers on
economic and social conditions
of the area than figures released
by the government.
In a letter-the second in a few

information. I regret I cannot say
the same of the government’s

government report that San Luis
is on its way “to full economic
and social integration,” the
bishop and his priests, in an
earlier letter, declared that such
an assertion ran counter “to the
reality as we know it.”
