Catholic Scouting Programs
Will Be Topic Of
Mr. William Condon, from.
Scout Headquarters, will be in
Atlanta on January 29th and
30th to discuss Catholic programs
in Scouting. He will be available
for two sessions:
I - On Wednesday, January 29
at 7 p.m. for scouters and all
interested lay folk.
II - On Thursday, January 30
at 1 p.m. for clergy and religious.
Both meetings will take place
in the assembly room, located in
the Old Marist School at Sacred
Heart Church. Although each talk
will be directed to the interests of
lay people or clergy, there is
“no” reason why a lay person
should not come to the afternoon
session if this time suits him
better, and vice versa with the
clergy.
Discussion
Mr. Condon is executive
secretary of the National Catholic
Committee on Boy Scouting and
has graciously taken time out
from a very busy schedule to be
with us. He is the best qualified
Catholic Scout to answer your
questions and to tell us how the
Catholic programs in scouting
have been revised to bring them
into line with the aims and ideals
of Vatican II.
Mr. Condon is doing us a great
service in coming to Atlanta. I
trust all adult Catholics, in or
interested, in scouting will make
the relatively small sacrifice to
come and meet with our National
Executive Secretary and hear
what we should be doing for
Catholics in Scouting.
